Asidia // Hardware guidance

Built for the computer
you already own.

Find the Sid configuration that fits your hardware.

Asidia is being designed around different levels of computer capability instead of assuming every user owns an extreme AI workstation.

Workload-aware

Not every Sid task needs the same hardware.

Sid can combine ordinary desktop work with external and local AI capabilities. Each workload has different needs, so compatibility is more useful as a profile than a simple pass or fail.

A computer may still be useful for Sid even when it is not ideal for running large local AI models.

Sid readiness

Compatibility levels

These levels describe the current desktop experience—not a promise that every future capability will run at each tier.

01

Basic

Core Sid interaction, desktop automation, external AI workflows, and lightweight local services.

Local AI: Limited
02

Standard

Strong automation, voice, screen interaction, moderate local AI, and external integration.

Local AI: Smaller / optimized models
03

Advanced

Heavier local workloads, capable vision or reasoning options, and greater multitasking headroom.

Local AI: Strong
04

Limited / Not Recommended Yet

Used only when the current desktop baseline is not met, with the limiting factor and next step explained.

No hardware shaming

Plain-language hardware

What matters most?

Each component contributes differently. A single expensive part does not define the entire Sid experience.

01

CPU

Handles general application logic, desktop tasks, background services, and non-GPU workloads.

02

RAM

Provides working memory for Sid, Windows, applications, and local AI services.

03

GPU

Accelerates supported AI workloads, computer vision, and some future or local features.

04

VRAM

Often determines which local AI model or accelerated workload can fit at one time.

05

Storage

Fast storage improves application and model loading, file workflows, and responsiveness.

Real-world profiles

These illustrative systems show how the guidance is intended to scale. They are not final requirements or benchmark promises.

Illustrative example

Everyday PC

  • Modern 6–8 core CPU
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Integrated or entry GPU
Expected

Core Sid experience with external AI assistance.

Illustrative example

Mainstream AI / Gaming PC

  • Modern Ryzen 5/7 or Core i5/i7
  • 32 GB RAM
  • 8–12 GB VRAM GPU
Expected

Strong Sid experience with useful local AI options.

Illustrative example

High-end Workstation

  • High-end modern CPU
  • 64 GB+ RAM
  • 24 GB+ VRAM
Expected

Greater local AI flexibility and multitasking headroom.

Accessible by design

Sid should scale with you.

If your computer is not suited to heavier workloads today, Sid's architecture can still favor practical alternatives.

  • Use external AI services for heavier reasoning
  • Use smaller or optimized local models
  • Disable optional heavier features
  • Upgrade RAM when practical
  • Upgrade the GPU later
  • Use a lighter Sid configuration

Explicit and user initiated

Automatic system check — coming later

A future trusted Asidia tool may inspect hardware locally and recommend a configuration. A normal browser cannot reliably identify all CPU, GPU, RAM, and VRAM details, so this page does not fake detection.

Hardware-checking privacy

The long-term design favors local inspection, minimal data collection, clear consent, no unnecessary telemetry, and no hidden fingerprinting.
